Misuse of manual call points or pull stations resulting in false or nuisance alarms is a costly and troublesome interruption to business continuity. BS 5839 – The British Standard for Fire Alarm Installations recommends the use of manual call point covers in vulnerable areas to mitigate against false alarms.

Call Point Cover Protection

The Smart+Guard is a tough polycarbonate hinged protective cover that can easily be installed over a range of emergency switches and other devices to provide protection from vandalism, accidental damage or misuse that causes unwanted alarms.
- Designed for ease of installation, the Smart+Guard can be fitted in minutes
- An optional battery powered 90dB alarm can be fitted increasing the security and protection of the device it is covering
- A break seal can also be fitted to increase the visible deterrent against misuse
Smart+Guard II is larger than the standard sized Smart+Guard and is designed to be installed over larger sized call points and emergency switches. The Smart+Guard II offers the same features and installation options as it's smaller sibling.

The Smart+Enviro is a tough polycarbonate hinged weatherproof protective cover that can easily be installed over a range of call points, emergency switches and other devices to provide protection from vandalism, accidental damage or misuse. It has been designed and engineered to provide protection for devices exposed to hostile environments.
The Smart+Enviro can also be fitted with an integral battery powered alarm, that when lifted emits an ear piercing 90 dB alarm, warning the user that the device is for emergency use only and should not be tampered with.
Applications include off-shore, the food and beverage industry, swimming pools and leisure centres, underground installations and any area where exposure to the environment is likely to cause damage to control equipment or switching devices.

The Smart+Shield offers a simple cost effective solution to discourage the misuse of emergency exit doors. Adopting the universally recognised “no entry” sign, the Smart+Shield is a visually effective deterrent which is supported by an acoustic security alarm of 95 dB(A).
