Courses Offered
The Vimpex Rescue Academy offers a wide range of courses covering a multitude of rescue scenarios and accommodating trainees at various stages of their development. For each subject area, there are additional specialist modules that can be tailored to fit the specific risks your organisation experiences such as rail, hazardous materials or large vehicles.
We offer 3 courses under the Road Traffic Collision heading: Safe Working (2 days); Rescue Technician (3 days); and Advanced Technician (4 days). Advances in vehicle safety have actually made extraction techniques more challenging for emergency responders. Our courses update team knowledge on the latest issues in this area along with the latest in trauma care, decision making and teamwork.
The Large Goods Vehicles – Safe Working course is designed to standards approved by the World Rescue Organisation (WRO) and delivered by United Kingdom Rescue Organisation accredited trainers. Aspects covered in the course include LGV lifting plans, vehicle stabilisation techniques, LGV Boarding techniques, cab stabilisation & air seats, air suspension & firefighter safety and air brakes & firefighter safety.
